Abstract:

This paper presents an original frequency multiplier by 30 architecture operating at mmW frequencies. This high multiplication factor is based on the locking of a oscillator with a periodically repeated oscillations train. The circuit, fabricated in a BiCMOS 55nm technology, allows to achieve a phase noise of -105 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset from the carrier, with a power consumption of just 40 mW.
