D2.1 Report on the simulation results of the E-Band RF / Analogue Front-end Blocks

Executive Summary

This report presents the simulation results of the different individual blocks designed in order to implement the proposed E3Network transceiver.

First, the transceiver architecture reported in deliverable D1.2 is presented. This introduces the following parts of the document where the different designed individual blocks are described together with their simulation results.

This document also deals with the different blocks designed for the Tx chain. Simulation results for the IF up-converter mixer, mmW mixer and output power amplifier are presented. Together with these circuits, design and component selection for the baseband filter and IF amplifier are reported.

It also presents the simulation results of the different blocks designed for the Rx chain. In this part of the document the mmW LNA and IF amplifier blocks are described.

This document also deals with the different blocks of the signal generation for the Tx and Rx. The architecture as well as some of the key blocks are presented.

Finally, the last parts of the document report the simulation results for the DAC and ADC and present some conclusions.
